TO RAVAGE A COUNTRY ONE MUST TARGET THE EDUCATION

Success itself if a paradoxical term, as it is immaterial, it cannot be lab tested and measured in units. If something is not certain and is immaterial then it becomes easier to define according to your own wits and knowledge. Similarly, a country with extreme poverty rate of almost 25 to 30 percent it is the businessperson or politician who decides actual success. A culture with higher poverty rate often has lower happiness index, which leads to comparison and depression. Lower happiness index creates a well for individuals as they start comparing each factor, for an instance let’s take 10th and 12th board marks, or entrance exams. There is a toxic culture of judging a child based on marks. If a child scores higher percentage, then society fills ego and narcissism, in contrary if a child scores less than what society expects, then it directly or indirectly starts impoverishing the child’s mental, social and emotional health. There is a famous experiment in psychology where baby rat is put in a jar right after it’s birth and the jar is closed with a lead, when it grows older then the lead is removed, psychologically the rat creates a boundary in its brain which it cannot cross. In late 90s India a comic story became popular about a camel and a cameleer, it was late night with less visibility, the cameleer got tired after chauffeuring half of the desert, he scrounged for the lead in his pouch, but he realised that it was missing. An excruciating agony stricken down upon him. Another cameleer was crossing paths with the individual, when he noticed the pale face of the person he asked his problem. After knowing he suggested to tie the knot in air and let the camel see that it is tied. He did exactly what he was told. To his surprise the camel didn’t move an inch outside the radius. When the sky blushed a soft pink, then the second person woke and found that the camel was not moving even when pulled tightly. The second cameleer told- “good gracious god! untie the camel first”. The individual got surprised and said-“what non-sense”, the second person suggested to do what he’s told to do. The cameleer acted to untie the knot and suddenly the camel started moving. This story is never about camels. People delve their children in a race, full of rats and camels, who have lost their individual identity and often get pushed over by their masters. Those masters in our context are politicians, businessman, religious leaders. They earn profits in exchange to manipulate you. Government runs several exams with minimum selection ratio and gives many attempts so that the aspirants do not ask for employment and couldn’t raise several questions on the system and the matrix. Businessman like the coaching industry owner often manipulates parents to spend money on the exam preparation and they guarantee their ward’s success, on failing to do that they blame the child, or they manipulated them again to take a drop year upon drop year and prepare. Let’s ignore this fact for an instance and let us examine is it totally worth it to survive the race and get the colleges offered. It is really shocking to know that the selected students in the colleges are not taught with the skills they are required to work in any firm. Some intelligent students again spend their energy on preparing parallelly for placements, or any other government exam. The religious leaders on the other hand, kills the scientific temperament of individuals. It is the biggest myth that people with only science background should develop it. In fact, scientific temperament is defined as a way of life that fosters rational, logical, and evidence-based thinking, characterized by curiosity, open-mindedness, and the refusal to accept dogma or superstitions. But the leaders force them to kill their thinking and escape their real-life problems by going to temple or listening to the programs they perform. I am not against such programs or practices, unless it is done out of fear and escapism. The mindset of people about looking down upon other streams like art, music, literature, philosophy, psychology, and the rest, have created a psychological pressure upon students to choose science as a stream and enter the rat race, where there is everything except scientific learning. This vast pressure creates an environment where students often take several wrong steps to escape the chaos and becomes a masochist. A country with poor education system lacks confidence and often prone to mental, physical, social diseases. The nutritional standards are recorded poorest in recent years. The diet, health and fitness is also determined by the culture, tradition and leaders, this creates a pitfall where people get sick and live life like dolls. This article talks about one angle, still several factors are uncovered. The writer is not a professional and do not intend to pose defame against any government institutions, religion, race, or industry.
